FC MAGIC 98 RED (2-1-1) STARTS FALL CAMPAIGN at FC Green Bay Tourney!

Saturday, Aug.21st:  FC Magic 98 Red started strong with a 5-0 win over Madison 56ers White. Goal scorers were Rashawn Jackson (Neenah) 2, Antonio Perez (Neenah) 2 and Nicolai Noffke (Oshkosh)1. Next up FC Green Bay and a tough hard fault battle. Rashawn Jackson showed great composure and dribbled around the FC keeper before passing the ball into an open net. The backline of Taylor Conley (Menasha), Logan Bahn (Neenah), Drew Meinke (Neenah), Chris Blankenfeld (Menasha) and holding midfielder Jacob Van Caster (Neenah) showed the understanding of team defense and was impressive all game.

Sunday, Aug.22nd: FC Magic 98 Red faced Croatian Eagles. Rashawn Jackson had FC Magic up 1-0 with a first half goal. Croatian leveled the game and scored the game winner in the 60th minute, final 1-2. FC Magic finished strong by beating the Bavarians 4-3. Rashawn Jackson had a goal and cross causing a Bavarian own goal. Antonio Perez had 2 goals including a pk late in the game unlocking the draw. Tyler Schwalbac (Menasha) was very strong in the goal.

Mitchell Scholz 10 years old (Darboy) Has taken 1st place in the state for the 100m run with a time of 13.99. Congratulations Cheetah!!!! Keep getting faster and having fun while doing it.We are all very proud of u!!!!!


May 5, 2010 FC MAGIC U11 BOMBERS WIN OPENING GAME

FC Magic U11 boys started off the season with a nice 7-0 win against GB Lighting. The field was very hard to play on, but the boys figured it out and had an excellent first touch. Goals came from Mitchell Scholz (Kimberly), Matthew Meinke (Neenah), Alex VanCaster (Neenah), Christopher Blankenfeld (Menasha) and three goals by Mitchell Ringold (Appleton). Great job boys!

May 4, 2010 FC MAGIC 95 RED STRONG START FOR STATE LEAGUE

On May 2, FC Magic 95 Red beat the Croatian Eagles Red 4-1. Seth Maertz (Appleton) had 2 great goals. Jacob Hernandez (Appleton) 1 goal and 1 assist. Alexander Liddell (Appleton) had a lazer cross to Alec Noffke (Oshkosh) who headed the ball home.

May 3, 2010 FC MAGIC 95 RED FINISHES MRL 6-1-0

FC Magic 95 Red lost 0-2 to Madison FC on May 1st to finish the MRL season in second place.

April 28, 2010 FC MAGIC FIRECRACKERS START OFF THE SEASON WITH A WIN

FC Magic U11 girls kicked off the season with a 5-1 win over Fondy Flames. With the halftime score of 1-1, the girls focused, spread the field out and shared the ball. The result was a nice 5-1 win! Goals scored by Brynn Desens, Hope Schaefer-Kemps, Alaina Deery and Paige Schabo! Great job in the goal by Drew Christensen and Olivia Morgan, with a lot of help from a hustling and tackling machine Orion Koepse. Great job girls!

April 26, 2010 FC MAGIC 95 RED IN 1ST PLACE IN MRL with a 6-0-0 Record

FC Magic 95 Red added more 3 wins in the Midwest Regional League. They beat PSA Riot (MN) 1-0 with the assist coming from Ryan Burton to Jacob Hernandez who finished with a far post header. Magic then beat St. Croix Juventus 1-0. Ryan Burton played Jacob Hernandez in and Jacob split the backs and tucked the ball in the net! Sunday morning the boys beat U15 Dakota United 2-0. Jonah Jacke ran on to a ball and passed it into the net. The second goal by Austin Jepson was beautifully placed! All goals showed great composure.

April 24, 2010 FC MAGIC AFTERSHOCK WINS PLAY-IN GAME

FC Magic Aftershock won 4-0 against MC United Krueger advancing them to the Wisconsin State Cup in May. Congratulations!

On the same day, Aftershock completed a double header beating Grafton Rangers 5-1. Aftershock is 2-0 in the State League.


GREAT RESULTS FOR FC MAGIC BOYS weekend of April 17-18

FC Magic 95 Red (U15 boys) had 3 wins in the Midwest Regional League. They beat EP Aquilas (MN) 5-0, MN Thunder Academy 5-0 and Dakota Alliance Seekers (SD) 3-1.

FC Magic Aftershock (U15 boys) started the State League campaign with a convincing 4-1 win over MK Tosa Pumas.

FC Magic 92 Red (U18 boys) was the Finalist in the 2010 Spring Shootout losing to PVYSC Elite in pks.

FC MAGIC 95 RED FINALIST AT U15 TOP TALENT CHALLENGE


At Shattuck-St. Marys in Faribault, MN on March 13-14, FC Magic 95 Red beat Madison 56ers Red 4-0 with goals from Jacob Hernandez (Appleton) assisted from Adam Pohlman (Neenah), Seth Maertz (Appleton) 2 goals, assisted from Austin Jepson (Green Bay) and a goal by Ryan Burton (Appleton). FC Magic 95 Red then beat Valley United 2-0 with goals from Austin Jepson and Ryan Burton. In the Championship game FC Magic 95 Red faced a very good PSA side. FC Magic 95 Red scored first with a perfect far post cross by Ryan Burton to Jonah Jacke (Green Bay) for a towering header (see above)! PSA tied the contest sending the game into extra time. PSA won in pk's. The back line of Seth Maertz, KennyD Xiong (Green Bay), Connor Knoll (Ashwaubenon), Tylor Rosera (Neenah), along with def center Sean Cropper (Pulaski) brought a presence all weekend!!!




Mar. 30, 2010 - FC MAGIC FIRCRACKERS DOWNS ASC TOP U11 TEAM
The FC Magic Firecrackers extended their impressive winning streak to 9! It was a very intense game Tuesday night with ASC's top U11 girls team. The girls walked away with a 4-2 win!! Goals from Brynn Desens, Paige Schabo and Olivia Morgan (2). Orion Koepsel was a tackling machine all game long and Drew Christensen and Kelsey Allen did a nice job in the net. The kids fought through a tough game and found a way to win!!! Great job FC Magic Firecrackers!!!

Mar. 24, 2010 - FC MAGIC FIRCRACKERS U11 GIRLS BEAT RIVAL NEENAH
FC Magic Firecrackers got another big win 4-3, when they faced rival Neenah Crossfire Red on Mar. 23th.  The game was hard fought, intense and provided the girls experience with making decisions under extreme pressure, well done! Goal scorers were Olivia Morgan, Megan Dagesse, Mia (thunder & lighting) Gregory and Paige Schabo! Kelsey Allen and Drew Christensen did a great job in goal! Lots of hustle, tackling, passing and teamwork! Well done girls!!!



Mar. 23, 2010 - FC MAGIC BOMBERS U11 BOYS WIN!
The Bombers got another big win last Saturday by playing solid possession soccer against FC Warriors and walked away with a 12-0 win!!! Goalie Owen (shutout) Johnson was amazing from kick off to the final whistle! Goals were scored from Alex VanCaster, Adler Reschke, Mitchell Scholz, Dawson Deboer and Blue Kinsell. Will (lil jerry mac jr.) Mahoney finished with a goal and 4 assists!!!
Great passing and defense from Chris Blankenfeld and Igor Marjanovic. Keep it up boys!!!

Mar. 18, 2010 - FC MAGIC U11 GIRLS FIRECRACKERS ON FIRE!!!
The Firecrackers have been RED HOT winning 5 straight games against older teams. The winning streak includes wins against Rogue U12 (9-4), ASC Independence U12 (4-3), ASC Phoenix U13 (5-3), Neenah White U11 (12-2) and ASC Independence U12 (9-6)! The kids are passing the ball well, scoring fantastic goals and as always TACKLING very hard! Mar. 18, 2010 - FC MAGIC U11 BOYS
The boys team is made up of one U11 player, one U8 and the rest U9-U10. They just finished a very demanding, but rewarding indoor session on the big field against U12 teams. They are back playing U11 on Saturday nights. Last Saturday, the boys played fantastic soccer and won 11-4 vs Neenah Red. Great goals from Matthew Meinke, Adler Reschke, Cris Blankenfeld and Mitchell Scholz. Check out the U11 boys schedule on Soccer Heavens website. Come and cheer them on!

FC Magic 95 Red was one of 8 teams from the midwest invited to Shattuck-St. Marys (prep school in Faribault, MN) the weekend of March 13-14th. Shattuck-St. Marys has a full size indoor turf field.

FC Magic Red faced Neenah Gunners Red in the Championship with FC Magic Red taking first place. FC Magic Red's Adrian Perez and teammates put on a show! Adrian had some great touches and goals!


Sunday, Dec. 27 U15/16 FC Magic tournament results:

FC Magic 95 Red played Mequon Red in the Championship game with Mequon Red coming out on top with a 7-6 thrilling win! FC Magic 95 Red's keeper Trent Beilke was a standout!

Congratulations to Mequon Red and Red Star, FC Green Bay, FC Magic 95 Red and Central FC Select for providing very exciting and competitive games.


Dec. 17 - FC MAGIC 95 RED (U15) plays up in the Milwaukee Kickers indoor "Turkey Classic" during Thanksgiving weekend

Nov. 28th at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee, FC Magic 95 Red won all three pool games in the U16 Division, advancing to the finals against NEW Utd 94 (a top premier U16 State League team). It was a very good match with the game ending in a 5-5 tie. NEW Utd 94 won in OT with FC Magic 95 Red placing 2nd.

Nov. 29th had the boys back at Uihlein this time playing in the U19 Division. FC Magic 95 Red  won both pool games advancing to the finals against "The Bad Boys". The first game was entertaining with the boys down 4-0 against a very good team. The boys stepped it up and won 5-4. FC Magic 95 Red lost in the finals 9-6 in a very physical fast paced match.



Dec. 16 - FC MAGIC 01 RED Bombers (U11 BOYS)

The boys faced the Jaguars last Saturday with both teams at 5-0-1. Starting goalie Owen Johnson was near perfect in the net with Adler Reschke, Mitchell Scholz and Christopher Blankenfeld giving FC Magic the scoring punch to a 12-3 win. FC Magic 01 Red Bombers improved to 6-0-1. Come and watch the Bombers play their last indoor game on the small field at Soccer Heaven Saturday, Dec. 19th 6:30 pm.

Congratulations FC MAGIC Firecrackers - Champions of the 2009 Octoberfest Tournament
The U11 girls started strong on Saturday by beating ASC Lightening 4-0. They won the group by beating ASC Quicksters 10-0. Sunday the Firecrackers played Sheboygan Cyclones in the semi final and won 4-1. The Championship had FC Magic Firecrackers winning 5-1 over ASC Lightening!

Great job Coach Andy Vanden boogard and the girls for out scoring the competition 23-2. Players include: Drew C, Madison M, Olivia M, Katie M, Jenna M, Kelsey A, Paige S, Megan D, Brynn D, Mia G, Hope S, Alaina D & Orion K


Nov. 5 - FC Magic 94 Red Winners of the 2009 New Holstein Soccer Tournament

Oct. 4 - FC MAGIC 99 Red Firecrackers Tie ASC U11G Red 3-3
During "A" U11 Classic Girls League the Firecrackers goal keeper Katie M. made numerous saves during the first half to lead the team. After getting down 0-3 the Firecrackers started their own fireworks with Olivia M. scoring with the assist from Katie. Olivia got her 2nd goal minutes later and with time running out Paige S. was fouled in the box. Paige hit a perfect PK bringing the sides level 3-3. Defenders Madison M., Orion K. and Drew C played tough the whole match.


Sept. 11 - Congratulations to Joe DeCoursin for winning his appeal over East Central
In part from the WYSA Appeal Committee:

"Regarding FC Magic’s appeal on the East Central District’s one year probation
assessed against FC Magic Coach Joe DeCoursin, and the hearing that was held on
August 22, 2009, the WYSA Appeal Panel would like to thank you and your club
representatives for meeting with us to express your thoughts and opinions on the
tryout suspension.

Given the information exchanged during the appeal hearing, and the answers
provided to the panelists’ questions, the panel’s decision is to accept the FC Magic
appeal based on the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association Policies. The Appeal Panel therefore has overturned the action of the East Central District relative to Mr.
DeCoursin’s probationary status."

July 20 - FC Magic 95 Red takes first in Upper Midwest
FC Magic 95 Red went 5-0 winning the Upper Midwest Championship in the season ending tournament.

July 13 - FC Magic U-19 takes first in Oregon
The U-19 boys team, coached by Jason Schwalbach, came in first place, at the Oregon Tournament.  Final game went into 2, five minute overtimes, and then a shootout.  They won in the 8th round of penalty kicks.  Goalie, Alex Piekarske, stopped 3 shots in a row!!!!

2 - FC Magic 95 Red Recognized by Mayor of Appleton
FC Magic 95 Red was invited to the Appleton City Council meeting July 1st and was recognized for making history by being the first Fox Valley boys team (U13-U18) to win a State Championship.

June 27 - FC MAGIC RED ADVANCES TO REGIONAL SEMI FINALS!!!!

FC Magic 95 Red travelled to Sioux Falls, South Dakota on June 19th. On Saturday June 20th FC Magic faced Indiana. The boys battled back from a 3-1 half time deficit to level the game 3-3 with a goal from Adam Pohlman. Ryan Burton stole the ball and connected with Adam. 

 

Sunday, June 21st FC Magic faced Nebraska. The boys controlled the game from the start finishing with a 4-0 win.

 

Monday, June 22nd FC Magic met Michigan. Waza ranked 2nd in the Region and 11th in the Nation needed a win to advance  FC Magic would advance to the semi final with a draw.  It was a hard fought battle with some very nervous moments, but the end result was a draw advancing FC Magic 95 Red to the Regional Semi Finals on Tuesday.

 

Tuesday, June 23rd FC Magic vs MRL Champion Michigan Wolves. First half saw the Wolves taking advantage of FC Magic miscues going up 3-0 at half. The final was 4-0 with Michigan Wolves moving on to the Championship game on Wednesday.

 

Over 400 U14 boys teams from 14 States competed for 16 spots at Regionals. To think FC Magic 95 Red made it to the final four at Regionals was unbelievable! Only 2 teams from Wisconsin made the semi finals. Us and FC Milwaukee U14 girls.

 

It was a great run for FC Magic 95 Red!

 

June 4th - DO YOU BELIEVE IN MAGIC?
 

STATE CHAMPION FC MAGIC 95 RED
FC Magic 95 Red beat Mequon United Red 2-1 in the State Cup Semi final  with goals from Alexander Liddell and Seth Maertz. In the State Cup Championship game FC Magic Red 95 beat FC Milwaukee Blue 1-0, Jonah Jacke scored the game winning goal on a set piece service by Jacob Hernandez. The boys State Championship title is the first for a Fox Valley boys team (U13-U18). The team advances to Regionals in Sioux Falls, South Dakota June 29-24.

May 31st - FC Magic's Ken Pisaniello receives WYSA Ken Kabanica Scholarship
Congratulations to FC Magic's very own Ken Pisaniello for being awared one of six 2009 Mike Kabanica Scholarships, awarded annually to six graduating seniors who are members of Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association.

"Ken Pisaniello resides in Appleton and plays for FC Magic where he also volunteers. A two sport letterman (soccer and track), he has enjoyed the success as an individual and member of a team. Ken is also very successful in the classroom, maintaining straight A’s while also being active with the symphonic orchestra, receiving solo and ensemble awards in three years of high school. Undecided on his major at this time, he is looking forward to attending the University of Wisconsin – Madison this fall."
 

May 29th - FC MAGIC 95 RED ADVANCES TO SEMI FINAL OF STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!
FC Magic 95 Red (U14 boys) finished 2-0-1 in there division by beating Croatian Eagles Red 3-1 and MYSC Yahara Blue 3-0. Going into  the third game needing a win or draw, the boys faced a formidable opponent in Madison FC. The Midwest Regional Premier League team has a classy group of players and coach. The hard fought battle ended 0-0 advancing FC Magic 95 Red to the Semi Finals of the State Cup Saturday, May 30th vs Mequon Red at 2:30 pm field #10.

Friday, July 2nd:  In Chicago, IL.,  the boys beat the Chicago Magic U15 Pre Academy (ranked 3rd in IL) 3-2. After being down 0-1 at half, Jonah Jacke (Green Bay) hit a perfect free kick from 25 yards out leveling the game. Ryan Burton (Appleton) finished a cross from Jonah Jacke and assist from Evan Garcia (Green Bay). Chicago Magic tied the game 2-2.  FC Magic took the lead on a Jacob Hernandez (Appleton) game winning goal after a shot and pass by Evan Garcia. The back line,  Cody Mauthe (Seymour), Connor Knoll (Ashwaubenon), KennyD Xiong (Green Bay) & Tylor Rosera (Neenah) and holding midfielders Sean Cropper (Pulaski) and Austin Jepson (Green Bay) were well organized the entire game.

Saturday, July 3rd:  FC Magic 95 Red beat St. Croix Juventus (MN) 2-1. Jacob Hernandez scored first off a pass from Jonah Jacke.  Austin Jepson juggled a ball over a defender and played Evan Garcia who beat 2 defenders and struck a left footed game winner under pressure!! Charles Sauve (Appleton) played with confidence and slowed the game at appropriate times to keep possession.  Goal keeper Martin Metzler (Green Bay) had a very good game making a couple of big saves.

Sunday, July 4th: Needing a win or tie to advance to the Championship game the boys faced the 2nd ranked team in IL, Chicago Fire Jrs. North/Chicago Wind. Kenny D Xiong served a beautiful ball to Ryan Burton down the left flank. Ryan crossed a high ball to Jacob Hernandez who chested the ball down running at full speed, took a touch and buried it far post. The second half had Jeremy Nji (Kimberly) serving a ball to Jacob who beat the defender on a 50/50 ball and hit a rocket past the keeper 15 yards out. Alec Noffke (Oshkosh) had a great turn and shot forcing Chicago's keeper to make a fantastic save. The final was 2-0 and advancing FC Magic 95 Red to the Championship game.

Monday, July 5th: Regional Championship Game between FC Magic 95 Red and Chicago Magic U15 Pre Academy with the winner moving on to Nationals in Virginia Beach, VA.  Chicago Magic scored in the first half taking the Championship 1-0. It was a hard fought battle with chances from both teams, but in the end FC Magic could not produce the goal.  Goal Keeper Trent Beilke (Appleton) took control of the net and played with confidence. The Chicago Magic U15 Pre Academy team went on to win Nationals in Virgina Beach, VA. FC Magic 95 Red was the only team to beat them in Regionals and Nationals!

Injured players Seth Maertz (Appleton) who tried to play, but was withheld because of a back injury and Adam Pohlman (Neenah) were inactive.

The team shown resiliency all season while missing as many as 6 players with serious injuries.They only lost 3 U15 games all season. Through the ups and downs they built the character champions are made of! With such a talented group of boys that expects championships, they learned many life lessons outside of soccer that will carry with them for years and years.
